CONFERENCE VENUE

SETTA 2024 will be hold in the Cheng Yick-chi Building at City University of Hong Kong , which is located in Kowloon Tong, Kowloon, Hong Kong. It is situated in a highly convenient location with excellent accessibility.

ACCOMMODATION

CityU Lodge is a in-campus hotel within walking distance to the conference room. We have reserved a limited number of guests rooms in CityU Lodge for SETTA 2024 participants. The rate is HK$1,600 per night for single single occupancy and HK$1,700 per night for double occupancy.

It is easy to reach CITYU by subway, so it is very convenient to stay in hotels near subway stations like Mong Kok, Prince Edward, Tsim Sha Tsui, etc. Here are some hotel options:

  • Public transportation: Both MTR and bus accept Visa’s contactless payment, WeChat/Alipay QR code payment, and Octopus Card. Octopus Card (top-up card) can be purchased at any MTR station.
  • Taxi/Private cars: Most taxis support cash only (Hong Kong dollars, the Airport has exchange stores). Uber can hire both taxis and private cars in Hong Kong using credit cards.
  • From HK International Airport to CityU entrance:

    By MTR 1. Take MTR Airport Express at Airport station (train direction to Hong Kong);
    2. Interchange to Tung Chung Line at Tsing Yi Station (train direction to Hong Kong);
    3. Interchange to Tsuen Wan Line at Lai King Station (train direction to Central);
    4. Interchange to Kwun Tong Line at Prince Edward Station (train direction to Tiu Keng Leng);
    5. Get off the train at Kowloon Tong Station. Exit from Exit C2.
    6. Follow instructions here to reach CityU entrance.     		~1 hour HK$76.8
    By Bus+MTR 1. Take bus A26/A28/A29 from Airport Ground Transportation Centre (Alight at Wong Tai Sin Station; Lung Cheung Road);
    2. Take Kwun Tong Line at Wong Tai Sin Station (train direction to Whampoa);
    3. Get off the train at Kowloon Tong Station. Exit from Exit C2.
    4. Follow instructions here to reach CityU entrance.     		~1 hour HK$53.9
    By Taxi Take the red-colored taxi (to Kowloon) at the Airport's taxi stand. You can show the CityU taxi card to taxi driver.
    Note: Taxi stand's cars support HK$ cash only. Use Uber or HKTaxi Apps for hiring taxis with credit card payments.    		 ~30 mins ~HK$255
  • From Hong Kong West Kowloon Station to CityU entrance:
    Route Time Fare
    By MTR 1. Take Tuen Ma Line at Austin Station (train direction to Wu Kai Sha);
    2. Interchange to East Rail Line at Hung Hom Station (train direction to Lo Wu/Lok Ma Chau);
    3. Get off the train at Kowloon Tong Station. Exit from Exit C2.
    4. Follow instructions here to reach CityU entrance.     		~50 mins HK$10.2
    By Taxi Take the red-colored taxi (to Kowloon) at the Station's taxi stand. You can show the CityU taxi card to taxi driver.

    Once you arrive at the CityU entrances by MTR or taxi, please refer to the route in the picture below to reach the conference venue or hotel.
